Taking On The Challenge Of A Lifetime For Midland’s Based Charity
Samuel's Promise - Understanding The Charity Mission
This September, two friends will be strapping on a parachute to take on the challenge of a lifetime, in aid of a Midland’s based charity, Samuel's Promise.
Emily Priestley and Abbie Titchener – Aconveyancing Administrator from our Leicester office, will be skydiving to raise vital funds for Samuel’s Promise, a charity set up in memory of Samuel Priestley to aid critical research into paediatric brain tumours.
Samuel was just 14 when he was diagnosed with pilocytic astrocytoma. Over a period of three years and eight months, he went through punishing, intense operations and treatments. His family were advised to watch and wait, as his young body was exposed to brutal therapy. Samuel passed away in February 2022, aged 18.

Emily, Samuel’s sister says; “Jumping out of a plane might seem like an extreme thing to do for charity but juvenile brain tumours remain incredibly under researched, and I am convinced that different treatment options might have given my brother a better chance of survival. I’m doing this both in memory of Samuel and also for other patients going through the same trauma right now.”
The skydive will take place on September 1st 2023.
